Peania
Peania is an eastern suburb of Athens in the Mediterranean valley. It is located on the eastern outskirts of Ymittos, at an altitude of about 200 m. and it has a large agricultural area with vineyards and olives as the main crops.
Since ancient times, inhabitants have developed the specific crops creating an area with a long tradition in the production of excellent agricultural products. Since the beginning of the 20th century, the excellent Mediterranean wine and olive oil supplied the majority of the capital’s tavern and beyond. In the last decades the demand for quality olive oil present an upward trend, thus there is an increase in olive cultivation.
Apart from the agricultural activity, Peania is suitable for living as it provides a high quality of life due to low building and nature. A visit to modern Paiania can be a fascinating experience: the stalactite cave "Koutouki", the European Art Center EUARCE, the Vorre museum, even a walk to the mountain of Hymettos, where there is one of the highest densities of orchid cultivation in Europe.

It all begins in the first 15 days of October on a yearly basis. We belong to the category of Early Harvest Olive Oil, while during the harvest period we press on olives daily following all the guidelines for cold extraction at low temperature.
Mesogaia
Mesogaia
Mesogaia means the middle land and indeed this large part of Attica is located between two seas, creating a peninsula ideal for olive groves.
The extensive Mediterranean zone is the driest area of Greece with 2,900 hours of sunshine throughout the year and an annual rainfall that does not exceed 500 millimeters. However, the proximity to the sea on both sides gives it the breeze, which cools the olive groves on hot summer days. The same help is offered by the cool breeze from the Ymittos massif. Thanks to all these elements, Mesogaia was considered since ancient times the most ideal place for oliveculture.
The soils vary a lot, with big differences even from olive grove to olive grove. Clay, sandy loam, limestone in the mineral-rich soils of Keratea. "Klonara" is the king of the varieties of the region and covers most of the olive groves. It is an extremely drought-resistant variety that adapts to a wide range of soils.
